This caramel latte is a delicious treat…better than the coffee shop version. As it uses Teeccino, which is a wonderful herbal coffee, that doesn’t contain coffee…therefore it has absolutely NO caffeine, but tastes just like coffee.
Did you know that even decaf coffee has at least 7 to 10 mg of caffeine per 6 ounce cup, and decaf coffee brewed at coffee bars can contain twice as much caffeine because they typically brew coffee stronger.
If you can handle regular coffee, feel free to use it…but drink it in moderation as it is acidic to the body…read more about Coffee & Your Health.
- 1 cup brewed Teeccino Herbal Coffee or regular (non-decaf) organic coffee
- 1 cup raw whole milk
- 3 Tablespoons homemade caramel sauce
- 1 Tablespoon coconut cream concentrate (or 1/2 Tablespoon virgin coconut oil), optional
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
If Teeccino IS freshly brewed and hot: Gently heat milk, caramel sauce, and coconut cream or coconut oil (if using) in a small sauce pan on the stove. Stir in vanilla, and froth mixture with an immersion blender if desired. Add hot teeccino and divide among coffee mugs and serve.
If Teeccino is NOT freshly brewed and hot: In a small saucepan, gently heat brewed Teeccino, milk, caramel sauce, and coconut cream or coconut oil (if using) until mixture is hot; stirring continuously. Stir in vanilla, and froth mixture with an immersion blender if desired. Divide among coffee mugs and serve.
NOTE: Teecino is not like regular coffee. It will not go stale quickly. So you can brew a full pot and save what you don’t use. Simply store it in a glass pitcher / container, covered, in the fridge for up to 1 week.
You can use it easily this way in an iced coffee drink, or just reheat it gently on the stove for a hot latte. (Read more about Coffee and Teeccino)
